The Museum of the Cathedral Treasure is situated on the ground floor of the Archbishop’s Palace and has been open to the public since 2000. In 2005 the Museum of the Cathedral Treasure and Chapter Archive of Vercelli Foundation was established to run it together with the Chapter Archive and Library. The museum presents a significant array of pieces belonging to the Treasure of the Cathedral Chapter of Vercelli, an extraordinary and important testimony of the prestige of the Vercelli Church since the Middle Ages. The museum itinerary allows visitors to discover and understand the different stages of the episcopate and the city in general as a point of convergence of various elements: political, religious, artistic, scholastic and documentary.
